On an evening tour of Mt. Washington, you will experience the Auto Road in a whole new way. Whether you drive yourself as part of a group or take a guided tour, the beauty of the alpenglow on the surrounding peaks or the eeriness of the evening’s fog will be the highlight of your trip to the White Mountains.

Evening tours leave from the Mt. Washington Stage Office at the Auto Road Lodge about 3/4 of an hour prior to sunset. Guests are encouraged to bring food, beverages, and cameras along on these exciting trips. Be prepared for rapidly changing weather. Bring extra clothing for the summit.

Guided Tours
Available by reservation only, an Auto Road stage driven by a guide full of stories and legends of the mountains will take your group for an approximately two hour round trip tour to the summit of Mount Washington. Our stage fleet can accommodate groups up to 100 people.

The cost for the After Hours Tour is $40.00 for adults, $20 ages 5-12 with $320 minimum.
